Banachek,
Ever give any thought to doing the full cover Rotational Bend with several spectators putting their hands on yours (to add their energy) ala the vanishing bird cage? It was a thought that struck should I be called upon to step in on an intimate open mic night tonight. Tom Cutts |

Tom, this is good but to be honest, I like to keep things as clean as possible. A fork is very small, I want all the attention to be on the fork, to have a group of people on stage, up close to the fork is an awful lot of distraction. However, in a closeup situation at a dinner table. Something like this might kill.
But again, what works for me and makes me comfortable and gives me my unigue style, maybe the exact oppostite and give you your unique style.

I was thinking intimate setting. The open mike room seats maybe 20 people and I could get right into the center of them.
I agree on stage it would be distracting. Tom |

Steve,
That particular bend is THE bend of them all. There's no other explaination except for PK since nobody else can bend a fork like that with their bare hands. Some people must suggest with the other bends that you "did" it when they weren't looking. So what do they say when you do this one? Thanks, Frank

hey, try it, if it does not work, you will know. And if it does, well now you have a great peace. Listen, I will try almost anything. I am always shocked at what works when I thought it would not, and what does not when I thought it would kill.

I perform it a little different from how its taught on the tape. I use as little cover as possible and the palm of my other hand becomes the platform I display it on. This more open display has gotten me great reactions

Yes, if you notice Geof I mention only using the extra hand for cover is to cover the angles of the bottom rotating if need be. Other than that I also do it in one hand, it is much more open.
Notice, if you do not know the bend in question this post will not make any sense. Pointing that out to the censors and to those who have not taken the time to buy the tape

I find that spectators are usually so energetic and hyped all ready that they don't even notice the bottom. |

I agree, in most cases, but I would rather be sure than get caught just once, plus it does not take away from it as they actually see the twist taking place above my thumb and finger out in the open. The effect becomes the same as if I was actually holding the fork way down at the bottom and the bend took place a the top in the neck. To see the bottom of the handle does not add to it at all since all the bending is already out in the open in their mind. Where the bend is taking place, nothing is hidden.

I was messing around with rolling the fork back and forth in one hand between your thumb and 1st and 2nd fingers. If you roll it pretty fast at first but then start slowing down, it looks pretty great.
I also recommend the tape to everyone, especially because of the psychological points that apply to many other things, too. UJ |

Be careful UJ, I would hate to see a subject moved or deleted, we can't give methods away here, and that included technique. I would comment more on what you said but it would be in the same area of technique.
Thanks for understanding
