I'm gonna be moving to Oklahoma City here on Friday for college, leaving behind a lot of good memories, friends and my local magic shop, JCR's here in San Antonio. My question for those who might be in the OKC area is, "what magic shops are in Oklahoma City and where might they be?"

Actually, I am going to be attending Oklahoma Christian University.
Great place, right on the city limits, between Oklahoma City and Edmond

Ok, I've been doing some research, and it would appear that the website for a magic shop (at least I think that's what it is) is down. I checked IBM and the webpage for the local ring is also down. Apparantly the same webpage.

If anyone knows where in Oklahoma City there is a magic shop, could they PLEASE post or drop me a Message?

Isn't Aaron Smith and The Magic Depot in Oklahoma City?

Go to his site and contact him. Months back he was in the process of opening to the public.

Oops! No I just checked and he's in Tulsa.

Hey, everyone

Got moved into my dorm, but I still have had ZERO luck with finding a shop.
Still no ideas?
If we know of no decent shop in OKC, could anyone suggest a good online shop (besides Penguin, I'm not exactly a fan)

I'm sure that you will quickly meet other magicians on campus. Who knows, perhaps there is a magic club. If not, start one. As for a magic store...I now many people who are without a magic store in their hometowns. Gee...I'm one!

Best of luck on you first semester.

We have a warehouse in Tulsa, just an hour drive from you. And you can purchase from us online at http://www.magic.org

There are two magic shops in Oklahoma City with brick and mortar stores. They're both in the phone book, I know one of them is Party Bazaar. Besides The Magic Depot, there are two other stores here in Tulsa and a good size IBM ring. OKC has a SAM ring I believe.

If you have any more questions, please don't hesitate to ask... Welcome to Oklahoma!

Tulsa has a couple shops. There are also lots magicians in Oklahoma and Arkansas. Even the larger magician booking agencies work from Oklahoma. (Ask Jeff McBride.) The Six Flags office is there too. Fort Smith has one of the best Rings in the country. A little town north of there (Branson, MO) works a lot of magicians too.

You'll get hooked up pretty quickly if you'll get the word out. I enjoyed living and working out there. I'll see you in March at the Cavalcade of Magic in Eureka Springs. Don't miss it.

WOW

The first magic shop I ever visited was the one in Eureka Springs. Very excellent shop.

But yeah, I'll totally check out the one up in Tulsa

I'm a little late into this, but I'm visiting the OK city area for the holidays and found a magic shop Smile

4917 23rd st NW. It's called "Costume....." something or other, and is listed in the yellow pages under "Magic" though the name has nothing to do with magic in it at all.
Not much of a selection, but the basics are there, and they can special order....

Hope this helps someone....

Both the magic shops in the city, don't really have much "pro" stuff. It is more for beginners ect. If you need consumables (ie. flash paper, silks, TT) they might have what you are looking for. Both of the owners are nice. But they don't really demo tricks per-say. One of them does have a wrist chopper I want though! I have been to Top Hat in Tulsa. But that was long ago! Steve Larson owns that shop I believe. He is a real nice guy. And they at least at the time. Did demos of most tricks in the shop. I need to make a trip to Tulsa and check out all the shops. Because I rarely ever go to Tulsa.
