Sounds like the new "Black Widow" holdout to me! Read on:
David Copperfield Says He's Hound Fountain of Youth MIAMI -- The man who made the Statue of Liberty appear to vanish may soon claim to do the same for unsightly bags and wrinkles. Master illusionist David Copperfield says he has found the "Fountain of Youth" in the southern Bahamas, amid a cluster of four tiny islands he recently bought for $50 million. One of his islands in the Exuma chain, Musha Cay, is a private resort that rents for up to $300,000 a week and the other islands serve as buffers to keep prying eyes away from celebrity guests on the white sand beaches. Copperfield is coy about his reasons for the Fountain of Youth claim, but the man best known for entertaining with grand deception insists his archipelago also contains the legendary waters that bestow perpetual youth. Seriously. "I've discovered a true phenomenon," he told Reuters in a telephone interview. "You can take dead leaves, they come in contact with the water, they become full of life again. ... Bugs or insects that are near death, come in contact with the water, they'll fly away. It's an amazing thing, very, very exciting." Copperfield, who turns 50 next month, said he had hired biologists and geologists to examine its potential effect on humans but he's not inviting visitors to swim in or drink from it just yet. |

The latest on DC was the commentary on National Public Radio on Monday August 21. He gave a 3-4 minute talk on the show "What I beleive?"

What did you think of the story? The "interview" was from the museum in Vegas. I met a magician at SEAM who had sold DC 600 items for the museum

I have heard of this before. The water as certain healing properites. It does not really rejuvinate as much as it gives a boost of minerals and stuff that revitalizes organic material. There was one particular element that the water contains that helps do all this but I cannot remember what it is. It has high levels of something. There is some sort of spring under the water that pushes the special water up.
Where did I see this? It was something on the Sci-Fi channel years ago. This old man was swimming in it claiming it was the fountain of youth. Oh well, Copperfield owns it now.

I think what you're referring to is the movie Coccoon.

As much as I want to believe it, I don't believe it! The part of David Copperfield owning several islands in a island chain, yeah that's plausable, but to find the Fountain of Youth on one of the islands, yeah right. IF David Copperfield claims on what he says is true, let him invite Donald Trumph or George Bush onto the island! just think of the doctors that will loose their jobs because of this unproven discovery.

Now what makes me think Copperfield will introduce a new illusion in his show called "Eternal Youth" or something like that. This guy's no dummy.

I just wish he would do another special, and change his show. Ive seen him twice, the last two times he has come to Toronto in the last 4 years(he comes every other year, and he has come every other year since I was kid and with a different show, and Ive seen him everytime) and now he is coming to a Casino(Casino Rama) also near me in May, and again its the same show I have seen over the past 5 years.
I love seeing his shows(I mean even for those that I may not like him as a person, you still have to admit he kicks ass Magic wise, respectfully) miss his yearly specials he had on ABC with his Clorox sponsors, and his travelling show which WOULD change everytime he came. Don't get me wrong I could watch him live over and over again, but I would like to see a different show, even if it is a combination of older illusions he used to tour with! I think what I miss is that whole stage show special they used to put on. You see what the audience sees(out side of his big stunts, you can go and watch David Copperfield's special, and then go see him live, and watch him do the same things, live on stage right infront of you-Awesome) Just ranting as fan, that's all. Peace out. P.

I hear ya Peter,
I saw Copperfield's Broadway show Dreams and Nightmares years ago and it was pure magic. It was at the Martin Beck theatre so there was the whole Houdini connection. It was a fantastic live show. I'm feeling the time is right for a special, Some sort of David Copperfield has brightly lit ufo visitations while floating in youth inducing waters on an Island then suddenly portals to the new Virgin Space Craft in its brief orbit. It's time David!!! Can't you feel it? |

Might be a good idea to go to the source for this info
http://www.dcopperfield.com there is a "tour" section for dates and places.
