Why are people like MagicChris referring to this as a Bob Kohler product. It's Bob Sheets.

Interesting discussion as always...
Let me shed a little light on how Skullkracker came to be. Bob Sheets called me about a year and a half ago and told me about the changes he had made to the Juan Pablo change. I didn't "get it" when he told me about it over the phone. Six months later Bob came the the LVMI conventiona and showed it to a bunch of us including Paul Harris, Tim Trono and myself. We all thought it not only looked great but it had much better angles than Juan Pablo's change. So Tim Trono, Bob and myself went through all of Bob's work. The different changes, the ability to use different colored bills, the ability to use different sized bills, the improvement on angle issues etc. The bottom line is we all agreed that it was certainly worth putting out. So I got the lesson from Bob and learned it. I put in some time and got in down. I made up a presentation that fit my performance style and I started doing to everybody I could. I've done pretty much all of the switches since Mike Kozlowski's original and for me this one got the best reaction by far. The following week I went to Johnny Thompson's birthday party. Mimi (my wife) and I were sitting in Johnny's living room with Lance Burton, Johnny, Michael Close, Meir Yedid, Criss Angel, George Joseph, Jeff McBride and a bunch of other folks. Somebody asked me about Skullkracker. So I did it for them. It got a giant gasp! Ask any of the the guys, they'll tell you. Jeff McBride ran over to me and told me I had to teach it to him, it was the best change he'd ever seen. Criss Angel ran over and asked to use it on his show. I asked all of them if they thought I should put it out. 100% yes was the response. So the next morning I called Bob and we cut the deal and put it out. Does Skullkracker have limitations...absolutely, it's not real magic. Will it be the end all, be all bill switch for everybody...no way. But if you take the time to learn it and actually give it a try and do it for some breathing people you'll find out that it is shocking. Live it looks like trick photography. On a personal note I really don't believe in carrying a bunch of magic with me everywhere I go. I only have one trick in my wallet...it's Skullkracker with a twenty changing into two ten's. In my opinion it's the spectator's heads that explode... For those who don't care for Skullkracker in today's world your "loss" is minimal. Just put it up on ebay or the Café and you'll get $20 back so the ride cost you $5. |

For me as European magician the real strenght of Skullkracker was the ability to stop worrying about Euro bills being different in size and color. This is only billswitch so far that I have come across that makes billswitch workable in real working situations at europe. Packs small, plays big, don't have to worry about TT, don't have to worry about different sizes and colors of the bills and it is much more better on angles than Pablos version.
