I searched for a while and couldn't find a topic about this and I didn't know where to put it. Anyways...
I would like to know what routines you do with your topits, and most of all your favorite routine that you do. I have two topits one on each side of my coat and love doing a spellbound routine that I made up. I also love making anything vanish at a moments notice like a lighter. Hope to hear from you! Roger |

I used to use a topit, but In my new suit I didn't include one. I have to say that it was a shame as some topit routines are great. I used to vanish the occasional lighter and coin too, but I find that they are great when doing a routine that requires a switch.
Therefore instead of just retaining one item while apparently passing it over I topit the non required item (Which can be retreived from the jacket pocket if needed, and am left clean with only the required item. EG bounce - no bounce balls! I once contrived a hanging coins routine where I used only 3 coins and topited each one in turn, leaving me clean at the end to display openly. THen as a finaly I would 'remove' the 3 coiuns that are hanging and melt them in to one, producing a large identical 3' coin to finish. I reallty like topit work and will eventually work on a routine that I can do on stage using one, Much like carl Cloutier(sorry if I spelt it worng!). That guy is a topit Wizard!

I'd do the ending where you put an inverted shot glass over a shell with the pea and then make the pea end up under another shell. Then I'd offer to do it again with just the glass and the pea. I'd cover the shot glass with a napkin and place it over the pea, lift it to show the pea and ditch the glass into the topit while leaving the napkin shaped like the glass and again place it over the pea. Then slowly press the napkin to the table and steal the pea as I picked up the crushed napkin. Basically worked like the glass through the tabel, but the topit and the small glass was a natural for walk around stuff. I used Ammar's topit idea and reproduced the glass from my outside pocket. |

I love the routine called "Jacks" where a trick is done with four playing cards...of course the Jacks....anyways, the playing cards spit out toy jacks, and then sleight of hand is done with them...and finally at the end, the jacks dissapear. I forgot the chap's name who created the trick...but they are in his lecture notes titled "Magic from the attic".
