Word has it that Paul Reubens is planning a large screen version of Pee Wee's playhouse. I for one can't wait to see the return of this character.
Until the film is released.. enjoy this.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R7t3_mMWFtc Best, Tim HLTSBUTMC ? |

Been a fan for a while myself Tim! I'm not embarrassed to admit it but enjoyed the Pee Wee Playhouse programs that originally aired on Sat. mornings.
The live Playhouse was funny and got a copy, something I rarely do with DVD's. His encounters with the Captain Carl (Phil Hartman of SNL) and Miss Yvonne is hysterical. Captain Carl stops in for a short visit from his sea voyages. He brings Pee Wee a huge Conch (Shell) as a gift. He excitedly tells Pee Wee to put it to his ear. Pee Wee puts the Conch to his butt and Captain Carl yells "No Pee Wee! I said your ear not your rear!" LOL! Miss Yvonne is sitting on a bench in the Playhouse and checking her makeup as Pee Wee tells her that Captain Carl has been seeing someone. Miss Yvonne literally and unknowingly begins smearing the lipstick all over her face as she asks, "Is she pretty? Is she prettier than me?"..... LOL! And don't forget the shoe mirrors, which Pee Wee tries on the gals at one point. For those not into the twisted humor I guess they had to be there. Or maybe not... "No Pee Wee! I said your ear not your rear!" |

I taped the Pee Wee herman Special (the live show) off of HBO around 25 years ago, and still enjoy watching it - I may have to break down and get the DVD, though I know the lines by heart I really hope that John Paragon will be part of the new pee-wee projects - he played Jambi the genie, and also a bunch of other puppet characters. His HBO special was hilarious, and featured Paul Reubens in many skits that were very un-pee-wee-like

But are you guys forgetting? That actor pleasured himself in, of all places, a porno theater. I felt a lot safer with him locked up.

While I don't agree with what he did in private, in a dark and dirty theater where others were probably doing the exact same thing, I did enjoy watching his show on Saturday mornings. He has a great sense of humor and the site gags are hysterical.
If we can get over former a U.S.President doing some very troubling things, and excuse his behavior because his "job approval" numbers were high, we certainly can do the same thing for a comic! Mark. |

My above post should have had a " " at the end. But the whole thing was so preposterous to me, I thought my sarcasm was more evident. Sorry for any confusion.

Hi Josh,
Thanks for the clarification. I thought the whole thing was STUPID as well. I think the local authorities had nothing better to do. If you look at the letters at the very end of my original post you'll see I posted this... HLTSBUTMC ? Those letters stand for How Long Til Someone Brings Up The Mast******** Case ? I knew it would have to come up but I'm glad it at least did in Sarcasm. LOL "Heard any good jokes jately? " Paul Reubens Best, Tim |
