SIX Inner circle New York City 1772 Posts |
Hey guys, this is my first post in this thread. WOO-HOO! Anyway, I posted this other places but this seems to be the appropriate spot.
Im loooking for things to do with an audiance, small stuff like the arm thing someone mentioned else where, where the spectators cross and put their arms out and interlock their fingers. Then only the magician can turn his hand over, stuff like that. Just lil gags and fun bits to do with the audiance. Any help?? SIX |

- Point out your left finger and stick up your right thumb. Now swap so it is your right finger and left thumb. Repeat faster and faster.
- Make a figure eight with your left foot and then draw the number six with your finger. - Pat your head and rub your stomach. - Put up your pointer and ring finger. Now swap and put up your middle and pinkie. Repeat faster and faster. |

You will NEVER be able to!
acctualy, it true. why? you see, both those parts of your body are controlled by the same place in your brain. an seeing that it can only do one number at a time, it cancels one of them out. :-D ain't science fun? -steve |

"You will NEVER be able to! acctualy, it true." No, it is not true. But you can't do it if you are not well trained in learning complex movements. I can do it. But my brain is used to learn unnatural movements. I am a magician. Sorry! That was a joke. Off course you can learn it, if you train hard. I guess your feet is the weak point. I have trained difficult footmovements both as a dancer and an actor. That helps. Musicians, dancers, acrobats, actors, jugglers and magicians work many hours every day to change their brains so they can actually do things other people can't do. Everything that is physically possible for the human body can be learnt, I beleave. Learning is establishing new nerveconnections in the brain and nervesystem. Try observing a drummer while he is beating 4 different rythms and patterns with his arms and legs simultaneously. Is is impossible for you and mee. But that doesn't mean, that it can not be learned. Morale: Don't do this bet with a drummer or an expert actor/dancer. Science is still fun (i am a biologist too) Trolle |

Take a penny and press it against someone's forehead. Tell them to count the number of times they have to shake their head (as if vigorously nodding Yes) before the penny falls off, and that will be how many kids they will have. Usually, it takes a few shakes. Press the penny against their forehead a second time and tell them that however many shakes it takes to dislodge the penny will now reveal how many promotions they will have in their job. Again, another few shakes and the penny will fall. Do it a third time, but this time, palm the penny and press your thumb against their forehead in the exact same spot - to them it will feel like the penny is in place. Tell them that this time will reveal how many more years they will live. Of course, they will be shaking for some time, and the audience will get a big kick out this. Feel free to make up your own questions in lieu of the ones I listed.
