Hi all,
I am looking to source someone that can print playing cards on bicycle stock. Must be able to produce detailed imagery (not quite photographic, but will require a much great level of service than screen printing or similar) Will have several requirement in the near future for numbers of 500-1000 minimum. (Packet effects and more) If you can help or know someone that can, please get in touch - gary@garywsumpter.co.uk Many Thanks Gary |

Try https://customplayingcards.com
I use them quite a bit to print cards with client logos that I use in trade shows. Their minimum orders can be fairly high. |

These days, a lot of folks seem to get the U.S. Playing Card Company to do custom runs.

If I am not mistaken, Bicycle requires a minimum order of 10,000 (At least that is what I've been told). If you are okay working in those sorts of numbers, they would be the people to go to in my mind.

Hi Gary,
if I remember right I Think Mark Mason from JB in Blackpool has a printer. Being in the trade I am sure that he would be ideal for this? If you want his web link PM me. Just a thought.

I'm not quite sure where to post this but this topic seems as close as any. What I would like to do is to take a one-way forcing deck, remove the pips from one corner, and replace those removed pips with different pips.
Question 1: What is the best way to remove the pip without "messing" up the card, and Question 2: Once you put on the new corner pips, what do you use to replace the finish? Ideally, I would like to use Bicycle Cards. I might eventually wind up having the cards professionally made, but since they would be for my use only, the cost would undoubtedly be substantial. Thanx for the help guys. linkster0 |

Has anyone tried this......(at the moment it will only work in black unless you have a color laser printer)
Design what you need on your computer and print it out actual size on standard printer paper. It helps if you place a border around it which is slightly larger than the actual card. Then take a blank face Bicycle card and temporarily stick it on top of the printed desigh, the border will help you get in completely central. You can use a non permanent, or "re-positionable adhesive for this, similar to what is used on Post It notes. Then run it thru the printer gain and you have a custom card. You need to seal the image to stop it rubbing off in use, so I have used hair spray which needs a couple of coats. This idea works for me, and although it is not practical commercially, it's good for one-offs and experiments. And very satisfying too! Hope this helps. I'd welcome any comments Mick Hanzlik...Northampton, UK |

Hi Mick.
I have done basically what you are suggesting. It works great for clubs and spades. as soon as I shift to a heart or dimond, or even a face card, the colors never come out right. I was trying to make myslef some mismatched pip cards, and it was a complete failure as soon as I left black.
