Not quite sure what you're asking, but to rough pretty much any cardstock surface, go to your local Wal-Mart or hobby store and buy some Testor's "Dull Kote". It's the same thing magic shops buy and relabel, and REPRICE, greatly. Works well. A couple other companies that supply model and hobby aerosols also make a similar product.

It's most commonly found in hobby shops with the paint supplies meant for models (cars and airplanes and the like, that is). Others on the Café have also recommended Krylon Matte Finish #1311 (which I've used to some success) but I believe that the consensus votes for Testor's. You'll find some interesting threads on the subject via the search function if you're interested in reading more.

Use Testor's and check down in the secret forum since you have a least 50 posts.

The Testor's works great. I just touched up my Kids Kards with it and they're better than new. Glad I checked the Café before ordering any or I'd probably have paid twice as much for the same exact stuff!

Make sure you do it in an open area for the fumes.

I've had some luck with "RUST-OLEUM American Accents Clear Top Coat" from Lowes Hardware store. It's has on the label as "7902830 Matte Clear" $3.98/11oz. spray.
I've only done 2 decks so far, and they were both off brand decks, but I've been pleased with the results. Make sure to let them dry for 48 hours to lose the stink and dry completely. |
