Hello All,
I've recently purchased the Harada Hold DVD and think it's excellent. I know that there have been other posts and threads concerning this subject. I've read them and thought that they were very informative. I'd like some further opinions by anyone who is familiar with this hold, for instance: Do you think it is a useful sleight to have in your coin magic arsenal and do you use it? Have you applied it to other plots or routines such as a Coins Across, 3 Fly or a Copper/Silver routine? Any comments or opinions would be appreciated. Thank you. Jim |

I personally don't have the DVD but I am familiar with the general method to the Harada Hold. I'm probably going to be attacked for posting this but it's just how I feel. Although the move is very deceptive I just don't think it looks very natural at all. The hand looks to stiff and rigid. The effects that are accomplished with the move look good but as for the move itself it just looks too darn stiff for my liking.

Im going to say the opposite of Bill. I think that it is a fantastic move and is deceptive as hell. I have used this in front of people and everyones reaction was 'Where the hell did the coin go?'. I also think that the chinese coin routine on the DVD is a work of art. Another thing to take into consideration is that there are 3 people on that DVD and each one of them approach the Move differently. I think Ginjiros handling looks the most natural and that is the routine that I use the most.

I agree with Ralph....I plan on getting this, and I am still watching the demo and saying the same ... "Where the heck is it?"... ...

Can the move be done with spectators standing up looking down on your hands? The demo looks great when you are sitting at a table looking at the performer straight on.
I'm not confused... I just don't know yet.

Danny Daniels,
This is a move made for chest level magic. It's only good if you are equal to your spectators, or your standing and they are sitting.
If you're reading this you're my favourite magician.
