Hi Sean
I just noticed this myself yesterday and I'm already making inquiries... Should be only a small hiccup on the part of my web site hoisting company...? Should be back up and running tomorrow... Thanks. Brett Sherwood |

...we cup men breathe a collective sigh of relief!
I have six locks on my door all in a row. When I go out, I only lock every other one. I figure no matter how long somebody stands there picking the locks, they are always locking three. Elayne Boosler

I just wanted to ask anyone that owns the silver cups, how they went about polishing them. Mine are about ready after about one year now. I was going to look on the website for this info. Thanks.

I tent to use a microfible cloth and just rub. If you put any cleaner on them they will need to be cleaned more and more often.
I give mine a rub over every 6 - 8 months. I have the Engraved cups and they are a beauty to behold. I would reccomend Bretts cups every time, so much so I have 2 sets! Thanks Brett

Thanks for the support - it means a lot! I've sent a fax tonight to my web hoist, so they should be looking into my website problem first thing in the morning and I will follow up with a phone call tomorrow, but from experience give them a couple days to get my site functioning 100%...
To answer your polishing question - I tend to use a special soft silver cloth (must be only for silver) to buff the silver cups - this should be all you require to get a lovely sparkle. One interesting thing - the more I use my silver cups the less they tend to need polishing ... no excuses for rehearsing now! I have buffed my original all silver engraved set only once in three years, so not too much elbow grease needed to keep them looking good, as a matter of fact a little wear tends to give the engraved cups an authentic antique appearance ... adding to the mystery. Best Regards, Brett Sherwood |

What we really need is one engraved silver set for performing and another one to put on the shelf.
What do you think, Brett?

Last I looked, the silver cups were temporarily out of production due to the price of silver. Any idea when they will again be available?

For a moment there, I thought Brett was in the process of revamping his site, making the additions of the jade balls and new wands. Looks like the wait isn't over yet

Is the price of silver that much higher in the UK than in the US. While still high we are at a low for the cost right now in the US.

A couple of years ago, silver was at roughly $6.00 an ounce. Now it's $10.50 - $11.00 an ounce. That's almost twice as much. I remember in 1980 when it got past $20 an ounce. That was when the Hunt brothers had tried to corner the silver market.

Quote: Bill that is a great idea! I'll see if all my cup buyers are interested in 'doubling-up' their silver engraved cups...why not? Of course you personally have enough to do just that - several times over, especially with the Paul Fox! My engraved cups will reemerge probably early 2007. I would like to get more in stock by the holidays (along with other items), but there is a large minimum order requirement and this is very expensive, especially in silver, so every penny counts when hundreds are made at the same time. It is a huge investment as well as a huge gamble that they will all sell quickly. My new web site will be revamped eventually, but by the look of things not until early 2007 and this is primarily due to lack of time.

Rut Row - it is still out. I hope you didn't lose your domain name, as that has accidentally happened to me once in the past.

Presently although I have a month at home I am also packing up my house to move, so it is very hectic, but then again I now have an opportunity to write emails onto this site, which is one perk of living at home for a longer period of time.
