For years I have praised the Tarbell Course as the best single source to learn all phrases of magic. In this instance I would strongly advise anyone to go to Tarbell 5 and read about Routining A Magic Show. Follow those instructions carefully and add a little humor and your own personality and you won't have any trouble doing an interesting and entertaining hour show.

Earlier this month I saw Marc Salem perform for an hour and a half. The time flew by and the audience was far from bored at the end.
The show was fast paced, amusing, intriguing and kept the audiences interest throughout. It ain't what you do, it's the way that you do it! |

I saw Marcs show last Summer. I felt it dragged a bit in the middle but had a really strong finish. He had some good one liners and his performance was really good.
A streamlined show would've been better with one or two of the effects left out. Thats just my opinion. (I hate magic squares). But he did a great job esp his Blind fold Q&A.. |
