Hi,
I have within my collection Marlo's Magazine 6 and Advanced Fingertip Control both signed and inscribed by Ed Marlo to Larry Jennings, in my opinion two of the greatest card magicians ever. I did pay a handsome amount for them quite a while back (I don't remember the amounts (luckily!) but it might well be close to a grand), but now I am wondering, apart from my fascination with both gentleman, are they actually worth anything?

There is still a great demand for Marlo's private manuscripts, especially Marlo's Magazine. A grand for just the two titles seem way too much to me, unless there is some provenance to it that appeals to collectors, like your copies having once belonged to Larry Jennings.

Ah thanks :o)
I knew I paid too much even then.
Back then it was even harder to get the Marlo Magazines than lately (they float on and off eBay) and I was determined to get a complete file.
Being a Marlophile sure upped the ante.
Add to that that I can't stand losing an auction and the damage is done.
I wasn't planning on selling them, my whole collection consists of 'bad investments' in that regard, but the material inside is worth millions.
