Hi, I've been studying magic for almost a year now mostly cards so far. I know how to make gaffed cards such as df, db, h&h, but I was wondering what the best way to make a gaffed card that would respond to a m*****. What material is best? I tried foil but you can hear it; is there anything more stealth like that can be used?

Steel razor blade(s) perhaps.

Jaz's method works very well. I've also had some luck at a dollar store, buying the kids toy called Wooly Willy (many names for this one, actually). It's a piece of cardboard with the picture of a bald, clean-shaven guy, encased in plastic with a bunch of metal shavings that can be used to create facial hair on the picture of "Willy." Open the plastic to collect the shavings, and... well... you can guess the rest.

Maybe it would just be easier to buy some shimmed cards...but I think if you want to try to do it yourself, you can buy very thin shims online or from a hardware store maybe.
Good luck. Kaylan |

Gary Plant makes excellent shimmed cards for $5.00 a piece.
