So, it's pretty simple.
You steal people all the evening and somebody say you have steal his wallet/watch etc... My answer is : I will be really stupid to really steal something,i'm pickpocket entertainer not stupid 
It's too obvious and logical. People agree always with me. Besides it means I can really steal and keep it
One month ago a man called one day after my show the boss of the place and say he hasn't his wallet anymore. The pickpocket (me)has surely steal it and keep it... Three days later he call again the boss and say : sorry I found my wallet, I was drunk and I put my wallet in an unusual place...

It is unusual that someone confess a mistake... It is just so easy to blame and so hard to admit that itself has been wrong.
