Hits:
"Jericho." All the beguiling paranoia of "Lost" with a more believable premise and a nicely dramatised resurrection of Cold War era fear. "Ugly Betty." Yeah, so it's "Working Girl" redone as a rip-off of the telenovelas. Light humour and easy escapism. Misses: "Shark." Don't get me wrong, I'm a Woods fan and wanted to like the show. HOWEVER...noboby else in the cast can hold their own against the high-wattage output of Woods' character, and the show falters from the imbalance. Next? Leland |

Hey did you catch SMITH yet with Ray Liotta? That's a pretty good show so far about a group of thieves/con artists. I've seen similar shows before but this one has been one of the better ones.

Firefly was one of the best tv shows ever! I loved the movie , almost flawless
I've only watched Jericho and I love it so far, Last season I was hooked on Psych (Can't wait till new epsiodes January) Well new TV show's for this year's season are Hits Psych Eureka Jericho Heroes Supernatural Justice Miss Ugly Betty Lost ( Reason why, is one of those that you can probably fall in love with if you have watched all the episodes but one you cannot pick up in the middle because you are...LOST!! I tried to pick it up one day on tv and I was like...prisoners...they are going back and forth like it's a game!!) Smallville ( Same thing over and over, Kyrptonite infected people last seasons and now zod and more drama with lex luthor) Studio 60 ( awful and boring ) |

I've been pleasantly surprised with 'Heroes'. I was prepared for it to be bad but the writing is strong and the plot development (with a few minor instances) has been well done.
I heard this week that 'Kidnapped' got axed. I knew it wouldn't last long because of the flawed plot. 'Studio 60' lives up to the writers previous success on "The West Wing" while not as fast paced it benefits from their style. Matthew Perry and Bradley Whitford have great chemistry, throw in Amanda Peet, D.L Hughley and Steven Webber, this show is going to do well. 'Jericho' has me intrigued trying to discover where the story will go. The character roles are filled well although at times I find the writing a bit sophomoric. I think it certainly has potential for a two to three year run. Not new shows but still great... 'Lost' hit us with a bombshell...What the Heck?!!!???!!! still a great show. 'The Office' and 'My Name is Earl' are two of the best shows on TV. 'The Office' may be the funniest show in years. 'Countdown with Keith Olbermann'- I never tuned in until this year at the urging of a friend of mine. Wonderfully written news show. It is certainly slanted Left but Keth is a wonderful speaker and his scathing comments concerning certain political issues are inspiring. 'Battlestar Gallactica' is really well done. Some of the best writing going on is in this show. Check it out. Looks to be a good fall season with shows like '30 Rock' and 'Twenty good Years' (I think is the title) still to come. I'll be watching more TV this year. |
