Hi...does anyone have a review on the figures from VentriloquistDummy.com?

I particularly like their BOBBY figure...

Any comments on the controls and it's animations. Is it well built?

The pictures in their site seem impressive and my friend in Manila say that Kem Poyner is a quality maker

A friend of mine bought one of Kem's figures at the VentHaven convention in 2006. I got to work with it some and found it to be well made and easy to work. Really like the Bobby figure as well and would probably buy one for myself, if I didn't already have too many figures... don't really need another little boy! LOL!!!

Yes, Bobby has winkers and raising eyebrows just like Lou...his face is not as funny as Lou but is more appropriate I think for my Kidshow vent act.

I was hoping I could make it as an adult show vent but I may never have the guts for that...

I guess I'm simply a kidshow kinda guy

It's great to hear you say Bobby is 'so light'. I love the Bobby figure, but I bought one years ago and found it too heavy to manipulate easily. I reluctantly sold it and bought a lighter figure from Tim Cowles. I may have to try another Boby now.

Yes...it's super light Must be Kem's new fiberglass material.

What does the torso construction look like? Mine had a very unfinished look. Are the hands heavy or light?

The controls look good but they were good even in the old model I had.

Yes it's the same...unfinished look

The hands are very light as well as the body

The head is very light as well.

I have a feeling, Kem made some adjustments or changes from his original figures particularly the materials used for casting.

It's so light even considering the fact that it has a bigger head than the standard sized figures.

Today was my first time using vent hard figures in a Mall show (Lolo Oban and Nicolo) at the new Trinoma (Mall) They both killed

Ventriloquism in my country (Philippines)is relatively young specially with the use of hard figures...I guess that's why a lot of people find the act NEW

BTW...I mix, Magic and Illusions with Ventriloquism

Another thing I would like to add...Kem Poyner stands behind his figures

My Poyner figure (Nicolo) had a minor winker problem

Kem Poyner asked me to ship it back to him for repairs and he promised to take care of shipping costs as well as customs duties.

Now that's what I call "Customer Service!"

I shipped back Nicolo yesterday

Nicolo arrived today from Arizona and Kem Poyner did a great
job...the controls feel great and so smooth...I'm confident that
this one is going to be reliable...

He also made the headstick exactly the way I wanted it...plus the
retouch on the figure's face is just superb.
