Is the effect the same? Four spectators choose different cards. The magician removes a single card from the deck and it appears to morph from one card to another as he shows it to each of the four spectators, and each of them confirm the identity as being the cards they selected. FWIW... the Hoffman trick appears to be credited anonymously.
