I found it in Fulves's "Charles Jordan's Best Card Tricks," Dover edition, 1992, page 60, listed as Henry Gavin's False Cut. The associated notes offer the information provided in my previous post.

John, where did you find this cut?

Yes, I found it in "Charles Jordan's Best Card Tricks"

Thanks for the clarification on the credit.

Since we back peddled on the last page with the repeat of Sloshed or Sober (Paul Gordon), I'll resubmit:

I wondered about Hellraiser as well, and googled it. This is from Cardeceits by Peter Duffie:

"Mini-Hellraiser: A fast moving Elevator routine that finishes in the hands of a spectator. This is a short version of my Hellraiser routine from Obsession and is useful where no table top is available. See Effortless Card Magic for further Hellraiser thoughts."

So it appears that it's a card trick by Peter Duffie from Obsession or Effortless Card Magic. Maybe trickytrav can enlighten us.

I found the same info as Tom re: Hellraiser and adjusted the credit to reflect Peter Duffie for the next updated list. Hellraiser II apears in Effortless Card Magic.
