Hi MueCard,

Y.K.K. is published in one of Hiro Sakai's books in Japanese. The effect is as follows:

A card is chosen by the spectator and replaced back into the deck, which is then shuffled. The deck is cut into three piles as designated by the spectator. The top cards of each pile are shown, but none of which is the chosen card. One by one, these cards transform into the chosen card. Finally the mates of the chosen card are revealed to be the bottom cards of each packet.

Hiro Sakai writes that this effect is dedicated to his mentor Yuichi Katakura. I believe Y.K.K. stands for his initials (?).

Interesting... For whatever reason I had associated Y.K.K. with Y2K (the year 2000). Thanks for the background info.
