Invisible Palm by Larry Jennings and the impressive number of variants which other performers brought to the effect.
Red Hot Mama was invented by Al Leech but he is not the one who coined the effect under that name (Frank Everhardt did). Al Leech published it as: "A Hot Card Trick" Undated [1950] manuscript published by The Ireland Magic Company (Chicago). I wouldn't mind contributing heavily to the list but I fail to understand the purpose of the game.

Hello Lawrence O,
Welcome to the Card Trick Game. This is a fun game that was started 2 1/2 years ago. The rules of the game are: - Name a card trick or sleight that begins with the last letter of the previous card trick or slight posted. - Credit the creator of the sleight or trick in parentheses - Sleight and tricks must have been publicly published (books, magic magazine, lecture notes) - Current list of slights and tricks are at the top of this page. Tip: If you have several tricks or sleight that begin with the letter ‘Y’ you will do very well in this game. Have fun. ~John |

Now that I was kindly explained the rules, could someone explain the purpose of the game?

It provides credits on items I choose to search for. 4. It provides info on items, variations and sources that I had either forgotten, or didn't know existed. 5. It provides an oasis for those who need a break from some of the bickering that takes place in some of the other threads (we're all friends here who enjoy the game, which is why we don't try to explain it, we simply take part and enjoy it). 6. etc... Welcome, Lawrence. I enjoy your posts. |

I could go on and on so I'm passing the stick...

Just one thing to keep in mind... this is cards only. It can be a trick or a sleight, but not the title of a book. And generally one entry per post.
Back to "E." (and again, welcome!) |
