By the way, an additional note:
That effect was published in Edward Victor MORE MAGIC OF THE HANDS (1942), p.4 under the title THE KINGS AND THE TENS. Note the title! There is no word "effect"!
In the "CONTENTS I. FURTHER SLEIGHTS AND THEIR USES" is to read:"The "Pass" again! - Kings and Tens effect -..."
Kings and Tens is an "effect", which is performed by the just explained Pass.
