Hello all,

I was wondering if anyone have or have seen in use the Scheherazade trick sold on Hocus-pocus.

It sounds and look really nice but I would like some reviews before buying it.

David Copperfield did a similar effect on TV some years ago with ink, looked amazing.

I remember the Copperfield's version. Was it the same principle ? Looks very good at the time.

It is a very nice prop, well made, although I did have one that broke because of poor soldering. It was, however, easily repaired.

It works exactly like you probably think it does and the appearance of the message or letters is completely under your control. The inside of the bowl is also easily accessible should you wish to change the message. For example, if you wish to change AC to 9D, it is very simple. Also, you are able to set it up to display the actual shape of the suit, rather than the first letter, which is very neat looking.

I personally think the method is TOO obvious, but I am probably thinking like a magician. Spectator's have no reason to think there's anything ferrous in the material whether you call it powder, ash or pepper. It's a very nice visual.

I think a name might be too big. Maybe a three letter name like Bob or Jon, but even that might be a little stretch.
