What will it be???
This does not include historical, factual books on the life of a magician...but books in the past such as Mnemonica, or Dear Mr Fantasy. I hope we'll see a book by the following sometime soon..and they will surely sell 1. David Stone (especially after his new DVD, he is becoming more popular in the market) 2. Bill Malone (still waiting!) 3. John Bannon (Cardzilla please?) 4. David Williamson (more practical close up magic like the ones in Magic Farm, please!) |

Better also if Max Maven release a book of his fenomenal equivoqe system. Also the other book's from Tamariz (sonata, etc.) and Simon Aronson in the future.

Hopefully another book by Aaron fisher will be coming out. Also Sal Piscenta should put his stuff in book form so people with no DVD players can see how awesome his stuff is.

The "Magic of Ascanio Book, Volume 2" has been out for a few weeks. Hocus Pocus has it listed for $59.95 as a non-discounted item. I would assume most other dealers that carried the first volume have this one too.

For myself, I'm just returning to magic after a 30 year absence and am passionate about close-up and specifically cards. After reading Ascanio's first book, I fell in love with the Spanish school of thought and am looking to stock my library with a mix of classics (Vernon, Marlo, etc) and contemporary artists with an emphasis on the Spanish. As a matter of fact, I've recently agreed to write about my journey back into magic on Richard Jame's site, Connoisseur Conjuring ( http://www.cc-magic.co.uk ) under the section of 'Beginner's Section'. From reading your posts on the Café, I understand you're an advanced cardman. If I may ask, who did you study for cards early in your career? Good luck in your quest for Sonata. Hopefully when there are more posts here, we'll get to see a good number of votes. That way, the magicians/writers involved will see that there is a demand for a book from them. Remember guys, commercial books only! I don't want to start a debate regarding what 'commercial' means, but I'm sure you guys get what I mean. Non commercial ones would be something like a history of Chung Ling Soo, or Houdini (just an example)
