Looking for ideas on how to use my own halloween pages in a magic coloring book and then be able to remove them without destroying the book.

Hi Mike,
You might check an office supply store. They carry spray cans of temporary adhesive, similar to what is on a post-it note, that is removable. This way, you can spray the back of your own pictures, position them in your coloring book and then remove them later. Here is a link to what I'm talking about. http://www.officedepot.com/ddSKU.do?leve......;An=text You could also check with your local craft store. They will have this as well. Hope this helps. You can have an inexpensive custom coloring book made using some of the pronged folders, or even having them bound at a local print shop. Especially as it sounds like you already have the images and art, you just need to make the trimmed edges of the gimmick. Might not cost as much as you think, and if you have several themed ones to do, it might drop the price a bit as well.

Hey Mike,
Aren't coloring books like $10? It would probably be easier just to make a halloween themed one you could use year after year. |

The one I have is a lot better and more expensive than the $10 ones and too late to order anyway since the shows are very soon.
The post-it-note stuff I already have and it leaves a sticky residue impossible to come off. Thanks, Mike

I have found and used in the past, a removable label stock for printers. It is used for making labels for canning jars and stuff like that. It comes in full sheet labels.
Not sure if you can run it down or not, but it might be worth checking for. Also, there used to be a roll-on temporary adhesive. Gary Kurtz talked about it once in conjunction with a card effect he released. I have never found it, though. Considering the cost and aggravation to do this project, I'd be tempted to just print the pages needed, cut them appropriately, and assemble the book as per the method used. Have it bound by a local print shop. They should have a few options for doing that. ~michael

"Repositionable" was the word I was looking for.
Just found it here: http://www.discountofficesupplies.com - do a search on "Removable, Repositionable Matte Magic Tape" Thanks again.

3M (Scotch brand) makes a removable double-sided adhesive tape, as well.
I am unsure how any of these products would perform with the coloring book you have. The type of stock it is printed on may or may not work well. I'd also be concerned about the extra bulk added to the book, by both the extra pages and the adhesive. Is there a good reason not to print and bind your own?
