I used to do Wild Card as a kid -- the marketed Frank Garcia version, I believe. Recently I picked up Simon Lovell's "Packet Killer" set and watched his more drawn out routining of the effect which is, I think, quite nice. However, as good as it -- and other "Wild Card" variations like it -- is, it has the effect of drawing out the trick and emphasizing its repetitiveness. The version I used to do was the traditional one in which you did the face-to-face change for the first four cards, and then changed the final four cards all at once, which was a nice climax.
Are there other versions of "Wild Card" that combine the more elegant sequence of changes found in versions like Lovell's with a clear climax like the Garcia? |

I am no expert in the wild cards effect. I know there is a nice DVD which teaches you a nice wild card routine (In the hands Wildcard by Tom Dobrowolski). I haven't seen it but here's a topic about it:
http://www.themagiccafe.com/forums/viewt......orum=111 I personally use this wild card routine. It has a nice ending too. http://www.corbinmagic.com/demos/waildcard_demo.wmv |

Tom's "In The Hands Wildcard" is very good (you can get it from him, too, at http://www.chicagomagicbash.com ). My personal favorite would be Tommy Wonder's "The Tamed Card."

Thanks for the mention gaffman and Magiguy.
I developed my routine so it can be done without a table and the routine itself goes full circle with the cards instantly changing back. I have an 8 card and a streamlined 6 card version on the DVD. It uses the standard wild card set of cards. My routine was inspired by Daryl's "Chameleon Cards" and Tommy Wonder's routine mentioned above. There is some more info. on my site with reviews and endorsements. If you have any questions regarding it feel free to contact me or ask here and I'll do my best to answer. Thanks Tom |

Gypsy's Curse is great. My metor has the BEST version I have ever seen called Twilight Zone, and is simply a joy to watch, no matter how many times you see it. In a book by Jimmy Nuzzo and Ed Marlo, there are many Wild Card routines, including some unpublished handlings by Marlo

L & L Publishing put the "Wild Card Kit" book out awhile ago. It's a collection of Wild Card ideas and moves, written by Jon Racherbaumer.
