I need some suggestions please. I am opening my act at the Desert Star Theater in Salt Lake on Halloween night and had planed on doing something different with my floating light bulb. I have no problem performing it on stage and floating it toward the wings of the stage. However I wanted to send the light buld out over the audience. The problem is that in doing this it "talks" or in other words, is too noisy as it floats off the stage. Increasing the volume of the music is not an option because the music wowuld be too loud to mask the noise.
Any suggestions be great.

Thanks,

What kind of noise does it make? Rather than try to silence it (with teflon or graphite) maybe you would be better off amplifying it and passing it off as a humming electrical noise- the singing light bulb sort of thing.

Change your thread... if you go to a fishing store..and buy black kevlar fly fishing line.. you wn't have the "singing" problem.

What makeupguy said, or rethink your rigging, that may be the problem.

Thank you for your responces! Is there a specific test line you find best?
The only thing with regards to the rigging is that the end over the audience is hooked to strap holding the fire sprinkler pipe in place.
