Okay... I admit it... Even though I'm still a fan of "Nothing", this thread is more entertaining than anything on the dvd. There, I said it! Satisfied?

One quick segue, a fellow magician suggested I do the Vanishing Bandana because he knew I was an actor and could probably make it a very funny bit (I wasn't nearly so confident). Anyway, comes time for me to do it in the show... and I realized I had forgotten the CD. I had thought it was in the player but it wasn't... So I pulled out my set list sheet and pretended it was the "written instrcutions" for the trick. I "read" through it, making the discoveries as I was reading... and it went over great! I told my friend about what happened and he liked the idea so much, he "read" the instructions when he performed it at his next gig.

Anyway, I know that's not apropos of "Nothing" but I thought I'd share it anyway as it's a good story.

After having read through this thread, I was so confused whether I should buy Nothing or not. I had first purchased Videomind and loved the effects. I decided to buy Nothing and if worse came worse, I could always resell it if it was as "bad" as everyone said. I just finished watching and rewatching it for the past 8 hours and it was money well spent and I will probably not resell it. Besides seeing the effects done with very little amount of props and their explanations, I felt listening to Max talk in detail about each effect and his performance style was a plus.
I am pleased I went with my impulse and Max Maven has not let me down.

Really? I thought that was the consensus, that these dvds are for beginners. What do I know. I still like the dvds and I don't consider myself a complete novice.

I sure don't think that was a consensus.
