We just got back from chemo number 3....hope this is the charm...if we get the balance right, things might get better...at least as good as they can be.

She has gone on disability as of last wednesday...she has good days and bad days...wed is chemo number 4...she is the breadwinner in our household so this is a very stressful time...i'm just hoping we come out the other side not too battered and bruised...it's late, otherwise I would say more...good night all & Thanks!

Ally has to get a port...they had to try 4 times on wednesday to get an iv in...she also has to get a colonoscopy...kinda bummed right now...thanks.

Thanks for the update, Nathan. I'll continue to remember your family in my prayers. As for the colonoscopy, the "prep" for the procedure is actually a lot worse than the actual procedure. I had one about five years ago due to my family history and am scheduled for my second one next week.

Thanks...we heard the prep was worse, everybody seems to feel that way...port goes in on friday...colonoscopy on monday....LAST chemo on wednesday...it's a tough week coming up.

I'm so sorry that I didn't notice this thread until now. Nathan, I'm so sorry to hear about what you and your family are going through. Lost mom to cancer and dad's been a survivor so far (melanotic spinal schwannoma), so I know about how it will make you feel. You have to take care of yourself to take care of them. You would want them to do the same if the situation were reversed. It's hard, but keep your chin up. Things will get better, I promise.

Ally's last chemo is tomorrow...her colonoscopy came back clean. I hope both of these things are good news

My wife finished her cancer treatments on Feb 20! She is doing amazing!
