Anyone seen his touring show in the last three months or so? He's coming to my home town In January 2007 and I was wondering if any of you could post a brief list of Illusions he performed. Last I saw him It was Shadow Box Motor Cycle Production, Steel Plate, Lotto/Car Appearance Portal and 13 .
I was hoping this tour would include a few changes. Thanks In Adavance Scott |

Scott - How do you know he is coming to Canada in January? His site doesn't give any tour info past 12/31/06. I'v been trying to find out his tour schedule for the begining of next year and have found nothing.

I wonder…
If you were arguably the most known, and wealthy, and loved professional magician on the planet… And could therefore feasibly create any effect you wished, or have it created for you… And you had significant skill as a magician, both theatrically and technically, and the charisma to charm almost any audience… And the budget to make your magic as powerful as possible, and the resources to produce almost true miracles, and the fame to fill theatre after theatre… If you were all this, and had all this…. What Magical Performance would YOU create? That’s what I wonder about David Copperfield these days. He’s no longer the tousle haired boy-wonder of Magic, He’s maturing into the elder-statesman of Magic. I am anxious to see his next tour, see what he decides for 2007. And see if he can reignite his show… and give the world the Magic it needs in these times. My two-cents, Walt |

I saw Copperfield about 18 years ago and it was ok but we had to wait 3 hour in the hall way for him. something happen to one of his illusion.it was a terrible wait kids getting sick. here I was 11 years old going crazy maybe I was youngrt not sure. I wish he would come back here again. I would love to take my kids to see him since here where I live we don;t get a lot of illusionist.

Its the fact that DC is a perfectionist. He takes several years of research, design, manufacture and rehearsal before any of his new material sees the stage. I'm sure he's slowly been working away at new effects, we just have to extremely patient I guess....I'm sure it will be worth the wait.

Has he lost his passion for magic? Or maybe he just feels his name is enough to put bums in seats.?I wonder what he feels about his shows

I saw him for the first time in Louisville in March or April 2006. He had several good illusions nothing spectacular. I was most unimpressed with a 50 min. performance that included a 20 min video that told about all the awards he had won and how great he was. I paid too much for a 30 min. show. I did go to the show to see a video about how great he was.
I was very unimpressed. I wouldn't go again. |
