Yo Vinny
I’m good; I tear it right in front of them too. Done in the folding actions, But if anyone is worried getting caught or burned there’s always the “Hay look over there…is that David Copperfield” Rrrrrip…LOL!!! I can’t even remember the last time I did the *** tick… Later, RJ |

When doing this effect professionally I prepare the cards in the necessary manner and pre crease them as well. This makes the effect much cleaner and makes life easier for me!

Prepare before. Then you don't have to worry about them catching you.

Its crazy how things come and go, stuff that used to be passe becomes forgotten and dug up ten years later as a crazy new thing. check out an old technique called the Curtain Tear, it will do the job for Card Warp.
I have no idea who invented/developed it. Go on, do some research and track it down. A bit of detective work is good for a magicians brain.

I use one prepared at a time and I put it on the outside of the box (back facing out)it is then held in place by two rubberbands at the top and bottom when ready I slide it out and add it to my pack later I then use the rubberbands for my rubberband routine and I finish clean

I love Card Warp. Been doing it for years, but I find women just don't get it. They don't seem to appreciate the apparent impossibility of the situation. I do the original version. It just seems to be one of these things that knock men out, but leave women cold. I have a similar situation with "Twisting the Aces".
This is wrong place to discuss this, so I'm going to open a new thread somewhere appropriate.....

Sometimes I rigg up some cards in a deck that I use for CW only. When I run out, I just do it right in front of the person. Never got caught.

Ron D. Wilson has a beautiful card warp routine...
and the get ready... is the leftovers from his unique Torn and Restored effect. (Which also is beautiful). I wish he would publish it, dad-gummit. |

The ortiz method is excellent however, it is not impromptu and one has to carry a extra prop...
tearing the card under the spectator nose and even using their deck makes it for me more powerful,,, just my 2 cents. vinny |

Well I don't know how often I run into folks with decks, but nevertheless your solution sounds interesting as it does solve certain issues. I'd love to see, if you don't mind.
Cheers! Nabil |
