What effects with a wrist watch are there out there??

1. Predicting the time the spectator stops at
2. Loading coin/money under the spectator's watch

Anything else??

Oh, and one more thing, I saw this demo somewhere but I can't remember where or who. A spectator holds an aanalogue watch and turns to a specific time, and the magician correctly predicts the time in a handwritten cardboard.
Anyone knows the history of this trick or where I can look it up?

The demo sounds like Osterland's "Watch Routine" from his Mind Mysteries,Volume 1.
I've seen Kreskin do a version of this on TV years ago.

Dexter's " Time Stands Still " available from Hocus-Pocus

MAGIC magazine had an effect in which you apparently " pluck " the battery from out of the watch and then magically throw it back inside utilizing the " Striking Vanish "

Can't you just use a Swami/Boon gimmick to accomplish the Demo you saw ?
Sorry, I haven't seen Osterlind's Rouitine that Jaz mentioned.

I've always thought of a watch as a nice way to hide things like a pen, to reveal it alter.

The effect mentioned above utilizing the watch's battery was developed by John Bodine and published in the Oct. 2004 Magic. The effect is that you borrow the spectator's watch, pull the battery through the body of the watch, and show that the watch has stopped working. You then as mentioned "strike" the battery with the watch, and immediately show the watch to have resumed working normally. If you want a watch stop kind of effect dressed as an offbeat magical happening rather than a feat of PK, I recommend giving this one a try.
