There seems to be a similar thread running concurrently at:
http://www.themagiccafe.com/forums/viewt......tart=0#5 ...As suggested by Jim, above, I too like the idea of using whole milk, 2 percent milk or skim milk... whatever is available at the time. I suppose skim would leave the least residue on the glass making it easier to clean... is that right? I realize that real milk turns sour and can curdle, but how many hours does it take until it "turns" under "normal" temperatures? As a back up, in case there is no grocery store near your show site, it makes sense to carry a bottle of pre-mixed powdered milk. Not sure that it helps any to place the liquified powdered milk mix into the fridge prior to the show, unless you really plan to drink it... although I suppose it has milk products in it so it could tuen "bad"it not refriderated... is that right? The suggestions made on the concurrent thread, to use less pwder than called for, and to mix it the night before to let the foam settle down, seems to be a good one. Jonathan

I bought some 1 percent milk today at the local grocery store. The mik is in liquid/ready-to-dring form, and is sealed in a "special" container that provides this milk with a shelf life of almost one year. The conatiner (and possbily the mik) is special in that once opened, and refridgerated, it stays "good"/drinkable for up to 20 days.
I plan to carry this milk in it's special container to my shows. At $2.79 for about a litre (approx. a pint) , it's a bit costly, but to me, it's trouble free and worth the added expense. has anyone else trid this solution ? (pun intended) Jonathan
