The best method is to find other balloon artists in your area who may be interested in getting together for a balloon jam. If no other artists live in your area, visit http://www.balloonhq.com and http://www.tmyers.com. Check through the various lists and articles to find a common interest and go from there.
Personally, I found the David Bartlett tapes and DVD's ( http://www.tmyers.com ) very easy to follow with basic, common sense step-by-step instructions. It all depends on where YOU want to go with your new found talent. Good luck! Skip

There is nobody in my area that does ballooning. I stay in a small town in scotland so if anybody has any u.k websites that would be great.
thanks for the advice skip way. I seen a guy doing balloon models in london /blue kangaroo/ and the things he made were amazing. I should of had a chat with him at the time but never got round to it. james |

My limited experience is that you need to be fun, interactive and do designs that are repeatable, since once one child sees the "Sweetheart Hat" or the "Bee" etc, then more will want them...

When I started to do balloons,
my first purhase was T.Myers "Balloon sculpture 101". http://www.tmyers.com/video/myers.html From that video one can get awesome starter info. Even when you allready know basic twists, etc. I suggest that video very warmly for you. I allso suggest books "Best of True Inflations #1,2 and 3" http://www.tmyers.com/book/myers.html From those books you can find hundreds of hints and balloon models from guys who twist balloons for living. Start collecting em from number 2, imo it has most usefull material. I suggest you to start doing balloon hats. They are usually fast and easy to do and they are so big and visual, that they are hard to beat with any other balloon creations. (this is only my opinion =) ) And what balloons you need? Get Qualatex 260 balloons and few bags of 6" hearts and yoú can create almost anything. Have fun Haccis |

Hi James(MacLeod?),
Check out this forum: http://www.mbd2.com/forum/default.asp . You'll find lots of local UK (and a few Scots) balloon artists who are members there, who also often do balloon twisting events around the UK. George |
