I did use it for a year while doing strolling and table magic at a local club. It certainly has some major benefits. If I am thinking of the right one, his version can be signed... am I correct on that one? It's been a while and I am rusty on my history at the moment. (EDIT*** Doh! I see now that it is the signed version. All I had to do is look up a few posts! That'll learn me not to post before I think! ) I settled on GA T&R for my stand-up and stage act, which is what I have been focusing on lately. If I were still strolling, I'd be using Osterlind's for sure. As with all of the classics, I strongly believe in learning as many methods as you can, and then you have a nice working knowledge of the mechanics of the trick, some great methods to select from for various situations and lots of ideas for routining as you work toward making it your own.

You may want to try the Newspaper Tear by Paul Potassy - a wonderful routine.

I didn't read all the way through this, but I have "No Tear" and it does come with instructions to, in fact, do the routine with a tear at the beginning.

I am looking for the effect where you tear up the newspaper and then restore it. No wait I think you pour a trick into the newspaper first then tear it and restore it then after the restoration you pour out the drink.
Any ideas?????? Shaun

I've used the No Tear, Baxt, GA, and Jimmy Ray's tears, but these days I'm using Slydini's method more. Very easy to set-up and very easy to perform (even surrounded!).
When I'm not using Slydini, I use Baxt. These are my favorites. |
