The back door does add to the "nothing here" of the illusion. And I love the two hand holes, especially how you see both hands out and active during the entire illusion. Some Kub Zag presentations might as well be a sword box since it is more a vanish (you never see proof the assitant is still there). |

Well it depends on the effect you are trying to create. When you have the hand holes there and do what Lou did, which is a great piece, in most peoples eyes with the proff that the assistant is still there this illusion has moved from the relm of magic/illusion to puzzle/trick. It was something that was considered when I had the cube zag and the mini cube zag , after 2 years of peoples relys and thoughts I have found that most lay people think on those terms.

The idea of a puzzle I think is a novel take on the Kub Zag. It would set it apart from many of the other presentations which is always something good. What might really sell the presentation even more is to add patter and talk through the illusion to completely make the puzzle aspect. In terms of the presentation of an illusion as a puzzle the best I can remember was how Blackstone Jr. did his Zig Zag.
