On Saturday, 11 November 2006 SAM Assembly 104 held a one day convention. This was the first time that I have attended anything like this and I had a great time and learned a lot about magic. I met a lot of really nice people and joined SAM that evening. Looking forward to this convention for next year.

I'm glad you got there, were you awake? That was an early start.

It was an early morning especially since I was out to the SAM9 assembly meeting the night before. I slept in on Sunday.

I enjoyed all of the lectures and learned a lot from each of them. I really enjoyed the evening show as well. Stephen Bargatze was a riot. I particularly enjoyed Andy Dallas' zombie routine.

I wisely left the check book at home and fortunately the ATM machine at the Holiday Inn would only let me get $100 in cash. Otherwise I would have left a depleted bank account. Lots of fun stuff available in the dealers room.

I'm definitely going to register early for next year's event so that I can get a better seat for the evening show. I was far enough back that it was difficult to see some things. Likewise, it makes sense to get there early for a good seat in the lectures.
