Hi Guys!
I was recently at a resturant with my girlfriend and her family. One of those classy venues with the paper table covers you draw on with crayons! Anyway I was asked to do some stuff, I had no gimmicks on me, so I thought I would have some fun! I wrote no 6 on the table and covered it with the salt pot. I asked my girl to name a number between 1 & 10, she said 6! She lifted the salt and was surprised! she then lifted every item on the table to check for outs! there were none! Her step mum said that she was in on it, Claire (my girlfriend) argued it out. With this, the waitress walked over, Claires sister said to her, 'name a number between 1 - 10, she said 6! Everyone was amazed, even me! (What happened to lucky 7?) I thought I would push my luck, I wrote purple then covered it with the salt shaker! The reason I wrote purple is that I could seE the look on her step mothers face, she really wanted to catch me out! I said to her, ' Not Blue or Red but name me a colour', she thought for a second, 'Purple'!! Need I say that everyone freeked! I then performed the effect with the Sweet and Low where you write a number on each, ask someone to toss them in the air, each time they do, the ones which land with the number face down are elliminated untill one number is left, I cant remember who's effect it is but I will not reveal the method, again I had pedicted the correct number! With this, her sisters boyfriend has grabbed the sugar packets, mixed them in his hand and took out one number without anyone looking, he held it in his fist! 'Il be impressed if you can tell me which number I have in my hand' He said.. I said 3 confidently, he threw the packet at me, I was right! Claire's sister then took the packets and held one in her hand without even looking herself. She asked which number it was, I said ' I wont be able to do it again, I'm sure I will get it wrong, She said I must try! I looked at her fist, then secretly picked up a crayon which was on the table. I said ' I don't know, is it 4!' She looked and said no, its 2. With this I quickly wrote 2 on the table and covered it with the salt pot as I stood up to look at the packet. I looked at her and said ' wouldn't it be amazing if 2 was written under the salt pot?! They said that's impossible, no way, I DIDN'T SAY A WORD. She lifted the pot and the whole table screamed!! It's all about having the balls to take risks, if any of those effects had failed they would have forgot them and just remembered the successfull ones! Lucky for me Im a lucky bas**rd! |
