Hey guys,
Last night I bought the Comedy Funnel, but I figured one small problem. Perhaps, you guys can help me out. OK, I begin with holding my finger underneath the funnel and start putting water in it. When the thing is full, I put some magician's wax on it and release my finger. The problem is that no matter how hard I press, it just goes empty. In other words, I can't seem to get it set for a performance. Am I doing something wrong here? Thanks for your advice. |

A cork works well to fill the funnel. Use tape over the small hole at the top.

Yeah, but the liquid just goes out. I do everything correctly, but the liquid doesn't stay in there; it just goes out whether I use tape, beeswax, or my hand.

Michiel,
Are you covering the hole at the top?

Is this the plastic or metal version?
There may be several things - a bad seam somewhere (To find it, plug the two holes while empty, then put under water in a sink and look for the bubbles.) or the hole is too big at the bottom end and cannot control the surface tension. Those are the two main ones I think of for faulty funnels. If it is the seam, you can solder, if metal, or use epoxy/sealer glue on either metal or plastic. If the hole is too big, it's the same sort of thing. You have to make it smaller by filling part of it in with the sealer epoxy. k

I had a funnel, and the same thing happened to me. I sold it. It always leaked.

I've had the opportunity to check out the Bazar de Magia Automatic Funnel, and it does the job in an outstanding manner. It looks great, it's easy to load, it holds a large amount of liquid, it doesn't leak, the hidden valve is simple to secretly operate, and the liquid pours at a good rate. This product solves the problems associated with other funnels.
