Well....the Two Headed Snapping Turtles are still alive!!! They have been struggling because of the wound, but continue trying to live. The last few days, they have started eating some again. My fingers are crossed!!!

Yes, Pete's very creative, very funny, and a nice guy, too.

Dirty Tricks. The headliners for it were Barry and Stuart. The other main characters were Pete and Jonathan Goodwin, who's a stunningly brilliant escape artist. It was produced by Anthony Owen. They're all brilliant.

I was only on one episode, but of all the television shows I've been on (which is a lot), it's one of my two favorites. I'd be delighted to work with any of that crew.

The other one, I never saw, but heard a lot about. I was let loose in a Home Depot type place, in Munich. I could do whatever I wanted, over the course of an afternoon. So many toys, so little time.

Me, too! There were many screwdrivers that, I'm sure, the eventual buyers had no clue of some of the things they'd been used for. One thing we did, I ended up mummy-wrapped in chains, hanging USD from some ladders for an interview. We did another scene, where I was playing with hammers. Etc.

And I didn't even have to clean it up!

Oh, fine! October at a park (in my experience) means light audiences at the beginning of the month, and much larger ones later. But we all have a good time.

I get to visit with folks who've been coming to my shows for years. It's a nice change from being in a different place, every time I perform, and never having an off-stage relationship with the folks. I get to hear about who moved, got another job, and watch the kids get bigger.

It also has its toll of ongoing injuries. Glass to cut out of feet, burns, puncture wounds on my back, stress-fractured ribs, etc. The ribs are the worst. It'll be a month before I can sleep comfortably, and they make doing escapes a lot harder, due to the kinds of movement I use. I've been doing the one-nail BON twice a day, and I'm still a bit concerned about tissue degradation. I'll have phantom sensations from it, probably for a couple of weeks after the run's over.

At the moment, I'm taking "weight on BON" stuff out my regular rotation. BON is a big piece of equipment to lug around, for only a couple of minutes of stage time. With an equivalent weight (since I fly to a bunch of shows), I can get another half-hour of material. It's a no-brainer. For over 20 years, I've used BON as an after-show piece, teaching folks about their fears. But it might be time to move on from that. I'll just have to figure out another way of achieving the same goal.

I've just invented an electric nose-hair curler, with which I'm playing. I had a routine about half in my head, and now its solidifying. It's totally stupid, and completely works. And I've figured out a new clincher, for glass-walking.

So, it's a good month!

I hope VB is going equally well! My best to you!

That's weird with the phantom sensations! I would like to see your new routines. We've been doing good at The Freakshow. The crowds are much smaller in the winter though. I brought in a new turtle to the Freakshow today..., Daisy, and Violet, the Two Headed Turtle that has 6 legs!!! They are the cutest..., their two extra arms are between their two heads and they hold hands. Smile Kids are loving them!!!
