The ENIGMA and the rest of The Show Devils came through The Freakshow today. They are cool as Hell!!! They helped us draw a crowd and even joined in some Staple Gun Fun
My friend (and possible relative) Fred Olen Ray also came through today with his family (his kids are definitely "With it"). Fred wrote a great book on Grind Shows that must be had! I forgot to get him to autograph my copy! Here's a great video of him getting ready to sell a Shrunken Head!!!

WOW!!! We had a GREAT Holiday weekend!!!!!!!!! Hallelujah!!!! We needed it Valentine's Day was our biggest day EVER so far!!! FREAK LOVE was in the air..........The Mardi Gras parade came through and we all ROCKED The Block.....INSIDE, we had the Treeman.....the Fire Eater....The Pain Proof Men from Scotland.....The Rubber Girl.....The Snake Lady.....the Fire Juggler.....the Electric Lady.....the Human Blockhead Supreme (6 nails and a drill bit)......and the Strong Man. We did a three man bed of nails sandwich while Rick juggled Flaming Torches on TOP!!!! I talked the front until my voice box bled.......and then went home with a smile on my face The FREAKSHOW is ALIVE!!!!!!

Looks like Valentines day was a banner day for the show, CONGRATS!!!!! I saw your post on Feb 6, about giant squids. A friend of mine toured with a giant octopus back in 2006. his show is featured on sideshoworld.com. Look up giant octopus/ Anatomy of a side show. It shows the building of the whole show , Sam no longer owns the show but, I am sure Sam will be able to answer some questions . May the tips be pleantiful and the spending heavy.

Well....we got rained out again today!!! BUT.....we took the whole crew to Ripley's in Hollywood to celebrate Sword Swallower's Day and Brett Loudermilk did his thing Brett even swallowed a sword and then turned it completely around in his throat!!! It was a ton of fun and made up for the rainy day......Did anyone else celebrate today????

True story....I'm at a magic lecture the other night...and before the lecture starts I hear someone talking about how they got a nasal infections when they "did it." Coming into the middle of it, I asked "were you doing blockhead?" The guy said yes, so I showed him my card, which features the x-ray I had taken of my head with the nail driven home (the x-ray I used--to my mother's chagrin--as my author photo for my book CARNY SIDESHOWS). The guy looks at the card and says "oh, man, you know I'm going to steal this..." He was deadly serious. I took the card back.
