I never really got into silk magic other than using gimmicks and would like to learn some good sleight of hand effects with just an ordinary handkerchief. Any recommendations or good sources for information? Thanks,

As always, go for the best source: Rice's Encyclopedia of Silk Magic. It has a great many sleights you can do to make silks appear, disappear, change color, transform, and penetrate, all with nary a gimmick in sight except for your two hands... and the silk, of course.

Jared,

Try Sympathetic Silks. There are several good methods in Rice. (Two of them I have been using since cars had fins!) It takes six silks (three pairs of different colors) and can lead you into all kinds of other silk routines usine the same silks.

Rice's Encyclopedia is such a beautiful set of books. Highly recommended . . . The illustrations alone are worth the purchase . . .
