What are some appearance/production illusions out there for producing a CEO, Santa, VIP, bride, etc.?
I'm looking for something PRACTICAL, easy to transport, easy to setup and breakdown, magical, and where the person to be produced can be hidden standing up. Some illusions I'm looking into are: 1. B-Screens by Creative Magic http://www.creativemagic.net/stage/bscreens.htm 2. Book Production 3. Flash Appearance http://www.tilfordillusions.com/video/flashAppearance.html Regarding these illusions or others you recommend, can you wheel or setup the illusion in the middle or end of the show with the person loaded without the audience being aware of it? And do I need assistants to help me with these illusions or can I do it myself? Thanks. |

We have used a Modern Cabinet decorated for the appropriate venue.

You would need to load these behind curtains out off the audience view at the last minute so the jolly old elf won't pass out from heat exhaustion. That's just the ones with casters and bases. What we made was a large square circle type thing that looks like a chimney. The circle part was a cloth bottomless bag with conduit around bottom to hold bottom bag in shape tied at top to look like santa's bag. It is on a caster base and everthing pin hinges together to tear down. Front inner chamber for his santaness covered with velvet velcroed on so can be removed when you untie top off bag to drop down to disclose santa. If you know the effect then scale it up. Always easier doing the larger things with help.
