Thanks George...
Ron, will the rest of the show cater to, or be able to cater to, a running theme, with this act? Other moments in your life maybe...Or is the rest of the show more traditional? I only ask because a lot of interesting ideas and concepts can be worked with if this set is part of the entire show. If you're using a unit set, it's typically there for the entire show. At what position in this show will this particular act be performed? I don't know if any of these questions will help you at this moment, but I think it's important to think about how, and if, this set can enhance the rest of your show as well...perhaps with a few minor changes throughout. Food for thought on some level...mind you these are not organized thoughts.

Thanks everyone. A special thanks to George Ledo for all the information you've shared.
Nell - Your questions where very helpful. In fact as I was reading them something occurred to me. I made these two images to help explain. Please let me know what you all think. This first image shows the basics of what I have in mind for the bedroom portion of the act. This next images shows the back yard portion. This part of the act happens right after the bed room part. While in the bed room I sort of go back in time to a memory and turn into a little boy. The little boy leaves the room then the first stage change happens. What occurred to me as I was reading Nell's last post is the fact that I can use the same "Box Set" for both stage settings. The back and side can look like the outside of a house. So the box is turned to show either the inside of a bed room or the outside of a house. Is this an okay way to do the transition from the room to the "back yard" part? Thanks again. Ron Jaxon |
