Let the spirited discussions begin! The first ads for Psi Key are out and I'm intriqued. A $400 key bend! Could it be the greatest trick of the year squeaking in just before 2007 and with a thread longer than ET? Or will it be...say...a $400 (Fill in the blank with your worst purchase).
I'm a sucker for gadgets if they work as advertised so something this expensive that does what the ad copy states might be worth a risk. |

Is it a bend key tricks that can do it with any (borrowed) key? The adv seems suggested that it is a gimmick key.

Yes it uses a special key. You can either introduce yours or borrow a key and sw**** it. I spoke to Yves and he told me what was involved and what you get. He also said that when he switches, people cannot tell when it is right in their face!
When the key is bent, it cannot be bent back! It is completely solid. When Yves told me all the props involved, method etc I thought the price was going to be HUGE! But for what you get, it is cheap, and this is something on my wish list, along with Deans Triangle! |

Sounds tempting . . . and 400 bucks will limit the users . . .

I've seen the add but I don't get the benefit of bending a key over a coin. in as much as with a borrowed coin and the quantum bender you can let them keep the coin, which is something most people will keep forever. Where as with a special key you obviously cant give it to them. and even if you could do it with there key, who wants a bent front door key as a souvenir?
I'm sure I must be missing the point?? |

And if you think, you will not give "your" key as a souvernir... You can continue with a routine and bend the spectator key (with the old method) and now you can give away... I think this key would work perfectly in a routine, because at the first time that you bend a key you will convince them that "you are the man" because it's so clean... The second time, they already know that there are no "moves" This time you know what to do with their key... But this just my thought, and unfortunately I don't have this... All the best, Mesquita

I'm thinking here.. and it's better the inverse, so first with the spectator key (of course you have to ask if you can do this with his key...) and you give away, and after that, with your key...(psi-key)

It is out in a shop in France sold Yves told me. The people who saw it bought it without the instructions as they wanted it so badly. It should be available very soon though

So let’s talk about Psi Key.
First, let’s answer questions : Can it be a borrowed key? This is an interesting question. Before answering this question you have to answer another one: would you give a bended key back to a spectator? If the answer is no, then you do not care about borrowed or not borrowed. If you would, and this is my position, Psi Key is designed to be switch with a very common key that can often be borrowed. The switch is extra easy to do and very very deceptive. They won’t even suspect you touched the key. You can also easily add it to a bunch of borrowed key without any fear. Psi key is delivered with a DVD that explains all the workings and 2 routines : one designed for parlour, the other for close-up. It sounds like some have it already: yes Psi Key is for sale for 3 months in France. It has been a best seller at our national convention. Since there, it was delivered without any explanation but upon request we sold it. $400.00 is a lot of money. Psi key is not a toy, it’s a professional tool. Psi key is a worth the price, people who already have Kronos can tell you that it’s not overpriced at all. A bending fork was sold years ago around $600. Many people complained that it was very thin and not really looking like a fork…I do not own the effect so all I can say is that Psi Key is 2mm thick and is really designed like a key. When it’s bended, people won’t be able to bend it back. (unless you give it to someone very very strong who wants to break his fingers) If you want a deeper look at this effect, email me at: psikey@bluesource.fr I’ll send you full info and a mini trailer video. Thanks Yves

How easy is this to put in and out of play? What I mean is, is it easy to reset? Also would one need to buy refills of any kind? And how long will this gimmick last?, 10 performances 1000 performances? Life time?
To give you an example of what I mean, I know that my Gravity flipper coin will last a life time but I do have to get rubber bands (refills) for it after 1000 performances. |
