Is this buildable? I'm try to figure out how to do it and don't want to spend all that money and have to again when I go up a shoe size. I'm pretty handy, I can weld, I have a good understanding of circuitry and anything electrial if required. I'm good with small stuff and I'm convinced that I could make them look like a normal shoe. but I don't know how to do it! can anyone tell me the reqs and everything you would need to build and/or a hint as to how it works? I'm not asking for exposure, I'm determined to figure it out myself.

You know... someone who has figured out how to build it, is Doug Malloy! Check out http://www.MalloyModernMagic.com... Yah, it may cost a lot more than you'd like to spend; however, you will have a quality prop that will last in the long-run.

Look for a late 1970 s Genii magazine with Bert Easly on the cover. Instructions are in there.
