I am looking for a description of the effect of this flourish. Is it similar to multiplexing (but uses the whole deck). Where can I find an explanation?? I read about it in the Encyclopedia of Playing Card Flourishes (awesome book BTW).

I think Yo is in the Sex Sells notes. You can find them on his site.

I have his Sex Sells PDF, but without a demo clip of it I will probably not learn it. Smile

It's easy to do guys!!!

Just give it a few tries and you will see.

I would not use a brand new deck though. Try it out with a nice worn in deck.

Hey Yeah. 'YO' is a really wicked move, and it isn't very difficult; but it looks AWESOME. Lonnie, you use it with a worn deck? I find that using a brand new deck works best for me. When I use a brand new deck, I can get a really nice long spread, and it's even. With a worn deck, the spread sometimes breaks up, and the spread isn't as smooth. Well, different things work for different people, it just depends on your preference.

Sincerely,
Doug.

I have his notes, but I would like to see a demo of it. Anyone have a clip of yourself doing it?

I second Cheezycool,

If any one of you guys could put a performance of YO! on http://www.magicvideodepot.com/ or any other websites, those of us who have some difficulties do it would really appreciate it.

Thanks in advance

Yeah a video would be great... I just can't seem to get what it's supposed to look like.

Seth,

It's supposed to look like a Chinese Yo-Yo. I haven't practiced it very much, but I can still kind of do it.

I like Lee's other material better. If you want, you can check out my yahoo group, http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Cardist/ and download some flourish videos (in Windows Media Format) in the "Files" section. I have one video clip devoted to Lee Asher's Diving Board Double. And there are some other card productions and stuff.

I'll practice "Yo", and if I can do it well, I'll put up a video clip of it.

Seth,

Use http://www.google.com and do a search for Chinese Yo-Yo's. They're made out of rolled up paper, sometimes used as party favors as well.

Oh, ok. I'll do that.
By the way, I had a look at the clips on your site. There is some really nice stuff!!!

What is the third cut on your card sharks video? It's where you kind of rotate the middle packet a few revolutions?

Thanks.

The third cut is one I came up with based on Lee Asher's Sibling. It uses the same opening sequence as his cut, but I added the final spin. Actually, there is another phase to the cut, but unfortunately, I couldn't do it very well at the time.

Otherwise, you could also think of it as a 3 packet sybil variation.
