Hello everyone. This may seem like a strange question without the context of a specific routine, but I was wondering if anybody could help me out. I'm looking for normal books, easily obtained in a local bookstore that in some way have the theme of a person physically being in two different places at the same time playing a fairly significant role in the story itself. I am imagining something paperback, the size of a standard novel, but am open to all suggestions, fiction or non-fiction. Of course, the darker the subject matter the better I would say.
Just throwing this out to all the readers out there who might be able to put me on the right track. If I'm being too vague about anything, just let me know and I'll elaborate. Thank you very much in advance for you time. Brian |

A biography of Padre Pio, a recently canonized Catholic saint who lived ion Italy during the 20th century, would most likely have accounts of his many reported instances of bilocation. Catholic bookstores, if not general bookstores, are sure to have material about him. Good luck.

The life of Swami Yogananda Parahumansa has a great story of a guru who was able to be in two locatations at the same time, and is supposedly historically documented. He also has great tales of other guru's with many bizarre abilities, including being able to urinate fire.
My mom says I'm reprehensible, I think I'm perfectly hensible.

He worked in a hospital, stole the stuff, and kept a freezer full of bottles of the pure alcohol. It made a mean martini, but he used to drink it straight and ice cold.

Just make sure you don't drink the 'denatured' stuff! That's what we had in high school chemistry class, and every year some stupid doofus would try to steal a bottle to drink!

Shamanistic Journeys of the Native American are bi locations. Check the new age stuff in your book store for chapters on this. What is important is that they describe the Shaman's body being in one place visible to the audience -- while the spirit is active in another.

Thanks to everyone for the responses so far. Dr Spektor, I do have Mephisto's Journey and really like the presentation. I was interested in exploring the topic further in order to be able to talk about this in more detail if I wanted. If anybody has any other resources, please keep them coming and thanks again!

How about the life and hard times of Lee Harvey Oswald? Classic bilocation in a modern context...

The Bible (Paul (II. Cor., XII3) is a source.
And the Life of Saints, Saint Gerard Magella seems a good example of XVIIIth century Christian X-men ... Another link here about saints and bilocation http://www.tanbooks.com/doct/mysteries_marvels.htm |

The following book is not available at the local books store (that I am aware of) - but it is a great resource for those interested in bi-location. It's called "Phantasms of the Living" by Fredrick Meyers- and is an exhaustive study of the strange ability of some people to project their astral doubles or dopplegangers to distant places. It is a 2000 page work, and I believe it was reprinted from the annals of the Society for Psychical Research. You can find an abridged reprint from 1967 on amazon for about 70 dollars (the authentics are hundreds more). I came across this title will doing research for a writing project- a book on eastern mysticism. There is a little bit about "Phantasms of the Living" in the links below. Hope this has been helpful in some way.
