Thank you so much, Pete. Alexander’s routine really is quite good.
Alexander, you have a very good point. “Billet Elliott” would be a funny name for a supplement, but I suspect it would be bad for my image. David, Switchcraft was offered as a downloadable ebook on Lulu for a while. However, I stopped selling it on Lulu for three reasons that may or may not still be applicable. At the time: 1. They did not allow for video footage in the PDF file. 2. They did not allow me to protect the file. 3. They would not provide the email addresses of purchasers, so I could send out bonus supplements. I asked if the prior purchasers would be able to download the latest version, and was told that they would only be able to download the version they purchased. I think Lulu is fantastic, but I needed some additional flexibility that they were not offering at the time. However, I definitely plan to use Lulu for the eventual printed edition of Switchcraft. I will not be able to send out bonus supplements for the printed copy, so, at present, I have no intention of publishing a printed edition until either every planned supplement on my agenda (there are many more) is released, or I get tired of the whole project. Of course, I reserve the right to change my mind. Anyways, I encountered something odd with the book today, and was wondering if anyone encountered the same thing or, perhaps, knows why it happened? I created the latest file on Acrobat 8, and tested it on Acrobat 8 and Acrobat 9. Everything worked fine. However, today I opened the file with Acrobat 6 and noticed something odd. There were strange lines on the two drawings on pages 322 and 323. I opened the file again with Acrobat 8 and 9, and the lines were gone. So, I am wondering if anyone else got those lines on pages 322 and 323, and if so, which version of Acrobat were you using at the time? Thanks again, Elliott PS. It may be relevant that those two images were created a little differently than the rest. I drew them, scanned them, pasted the images (which were BMP, instead of the normal JPEG’s) into MSWord, and converted the word document to PDF using Acrobat 8. Normally, I just upload the JPEG files from my camera, and paste them into MSWord. |

Hey Elliott,
Yeah I was thinking about the hard copy side of things with Lulu. I just like to have something to hold (don't we all) and with Switchcraft being so large, a real book would be nice at some point since I work all day at my computer screen already. -David

David, I agree with you. I prefer printed books, myself.
A printed edition is my ultimate goal, but it is VERY far off in the future. Thanks again, Elliott |

I own a printed edition! After downloading this I took the time to print out a copy for myself, printing on both sides of the paper and putting it in a loose leaf binder. It's pretty hefty and took a while to do but I prefer reading it this way. What a great resource! Thanks again Elliott.

You’re very welcome, Mike.
I finished my little break and have resumed working on the supplements in progress. Hopefully, I will have the next one done in a fairly reasonable timeframe. Elliott |

The routine was described to me on the phone, so I have been getting it down on paper, including assorted subtleties, tips and presentation options I noted when test-performing it. I also just received a contribution of billet techniques and a routine from another internationally famous magician. I may release that after sending out Secrets of the Masters. Good stuff ahead. |

Thank you Dynamike,
I just (literally) received permission to include a nearly self-working billet move that will make the next supplement twice as good. It’s almost done, by the way. I’m thinking of releasing it at about New Years. Elliott |

I just re-read Switchcraft and this time around found an even bigger gold mine. Can't wait to check out the next update Elliott. I can assure you that there will finally be switching in my repertoire, my head is going crazy with new ideas.
Thanks again, Mauricio |

I just wanted to come back around, once again, and thank Elliot for the work he has continued to put into this masterpiece. I found the last suppliment particularly delightful. Finally, thank you for "switching" to the current format which makes all of the suppliments, etc. so easy to navigate. I understand where Mauricio is coming from as well. I get new nuggets out of each and every re-reading.
Thank you, Elliot. Nicholas |

Switchcraft is easily the greatest value in mentalism today.
Elliot's work is passionate, well defined, infinitely useful and consistently good. The continuous supplements make purchasing this work a 'no-brainer' and both 'Switchcraft' and Elliot's efforts will go down in mentalism history. Thank you again and again, Elliot. I'm looking forward to the new supplement! Best, Jerome

Thank you Mauricio, and thank you also for the clever billet idea you sent, which will most likely appear in “Secrets of the Masters” (probably supplement 11, unless I finish one of the other supplements first.)
Thank you, Nicholas. It sounds like you are referring to the bookmarks. Those were added based on a suggestion by Huw Collingbourne, and make it really easy to navigate the document. Thank you so much, Jerome. Your comments would look great on my web site. Can I place them on the site? Thanks again, Elliott PS. Technically, the 10th supplement is done…including the excellent billet technique I just got permission to teach (I work fast.) All that’s left is to type up the “Thank You” section, print the book and edit it (the toughest part.) |

Plus, the title itself... is pure genius!

Thank you very much, Jerome!! I added the quote on my site.
Paolo, I thought the title was very clever when I came up with it, but have since wished I used one of the alternatives I came up with at the time. There are two reasons for that; the greater one being that I don’t like having the method so clearly spelled out in the title. If I could go back in time, I would use the name from the first supplement…Billet Machine. Elliott |

Why?
I think this name is fabulous. Plus, you can even get orders from some esoteric groups who think this is some brand new system of witchcraft... The S-Witchcraft

That’s actually the minor reason I wish I used a different name. It turns out there are a bunch of old tricks (and several companies) I wasn’t aware of that have that name or similar names. One of them is called S-Witchcraft. If I recall correctly, it may be by Eddie Joseph.
