Sorry if this has been beaten to death...
I'm intrigued to know if its a worthy purchase... I am aware it contains no actual 'tricks' (well maybe one or two) please don't just say 'yeah! of course... its the professor...' or similar... SELL me the book... |

It is a nice book to read now and then. It's great because you can just read one article a night, a week, a month or whatever. You don't have to read huge chapters at a time, because each article is based on something different.
From what I've read, Vernon covers many different topics, sometimes an article will be about goings on in his life (i.e magicians he has met, countries he has traveled to), sometimes the article will be about magical theory and so on. I would say there is something for everyone, whether you agree with Vernon's opinions or not. Finally, it is a beautifully produced book, nice and heavy, and full of photographs that are wonderful to look at. |
